n    emotion-focused (more effective if lack control)

n    Coping flexibility may be most effective

 

Aggression

n     Frustration and aggression

n    Frustration is one cause of aggression

n    Thoughts à neg. feelings à unpleasantness

n     Displacing aggression

n    Will aggress on innocent target when frustrated, particularly after minor annoyance

n     Catharsis

n    Aggression reduces arousal

n    however increases further aggression
