Mental Rotation

The effect is shown in the global data. In comparing different shapes, the response time increases approximately linearly with the rotation angle.  This is consistent with the theory mental rotation is visualized. Larger rotations require more time, both physical and mentally.  Comparing two identical shapes requires rotating a full 180 degrees making the response time equal to that of rotating different shapes 180 degrees. My results only partially show the effect, probably because there is not enough data. The data for comparing the same shapes is close to that expected. Data for the different shapes shows the effect until 90 degrees. More trials might show more consistent results.
