Practice Final Question 2
Prof. X collected these experimental data.  He hypothesized that exposure to R-rated movie scenes that objectify women will reduce empathy for a rape victim.  He designed a study using a treatment video (Scenes from Showgirls and 9 1/2 weeks) and a control condition (an animation festival).  After watching the video, participants read an account they believed to be real of either a stranger rape or a date rape.  See first page of sample article below.

What results should be reported?  Be sure to include the final table of all the terms you would include in the overall model that you test, with their coefficients, test statistics, and significance levels (cutting and pasting from SPSS is okay).
The independent variables are SEX (male/female), VIDEO (objectifying/control), and RAPE (stranger/acquaintance); the relevant DVs are rq4 (victim received pleasure—higher number more agreement) and rq5 (victim “got what she wanted”—higher number more agreement).  There are also additional covariates that you can use if you think they are appropriate.
